Dl Panthenol Powder

DL-Panthenol is the pro-vitamin of D-Pantothenic acid (Vitamin B5) for use in hair, skin and nail care products. It acts as a skin conditioning agent to provide deep penetrating moisture to the skin, stimulating epithelisation to provide wound healing and anti-inflammatory effects. It also functions as a hair conditioning agent to provide long lasting moisture to hair, preventing damage, thicken hair and improve luster and sheen. This product can also be used in nail care products to improve hydration and impart flexibility. In cosmetics and personal care products, DL-panthenol is a moisturizer and humectant, used in ointments, lotions, shampoos, and nasal sprays. It is most commonly added to hair products for its moisturizing properties where it improves hydration, and maintains skin elasticity and softness. In ointments it is used for the treatment of sunburns, and mild burns where it reduces itching and inflammation of the skin. Usage rate will be between 0.5 – 5%.
